desert lily bloom

multi-phase product launch visuals

Brand Background

Desert Lily Bloom is a handcrafted candle, soap, and fragrance brand based in Las Vegas. Founded by Marcia Hunter, the brand blends cozy minimalism with desert-inspired warmth, offering small-batch products designed to elevate everyday rituals. After two years of product development, Marcia carefully refined her scent profiles, packaging, and color palette, infusing every detail with intention and calm elegance.

Her goal was to create high-quality goods that feel luxurious yet accessible, especially for busy women and modern caregivers who want their home to feel like a haven. She wanted visuals that carried that same intention. With a strong sense of brand identity and a deep investment in her product’s quality, she was finally ready to launch and wanted the visuals to reflect everything she had poured into the process.

The Creative Gap

Marcia had a clear vision for her brand but needed help bringing it to life visually. While she had used AI and stock images as placeholders, they couldn’t match the care and craftsmanship behind the actual products. The intention was there, but the imagery hadn’t caught up.

We met at a pivotal moment in her journey. She was ready to hand off the creative direction and let someone with experience translate her ideas into a cohesive photo and video library. The challenge wasn’t a lack of clarity but execution. She had the brand, the vision, and the packaging. Now it needed to be captured in a way that felt human, intentional, and aligned with the warmth she built into every product.

To make the project financially feasible while preserving quality, we split her catalog into three phases across three months. This gave us time to thoughtfully establish the creative foundation in Phase 1, which then served as the anchor for all future visuals.

How We Approached It

From the very first planning call, this project was built around clarity and care. Phase 1 was all about setting the tone visually and strategically. We refined the creative direction together through rounds of feedback, ultimately crafting a warm, grounded aesthetic that would carry through the full launch.

Each scene was built intentionally to reflect the cozy, minimalist energy Marcia had poured into every part of her brand. We chose a clean but soft lighting style to highlight textures, tones, and the soothing feeling her products create. Every surface, background, and prop was selected to balance approachability with polish, from wood, ceramic vessels, and linen textures to echo the handcrafted nature of the products.

Each shoot took place over one full day, with a clear focus on storytelling: scent as ritual, minimalism as luxury, and product as comfort. The visuals served as the foundation for both her website and social presence.

Impact

After all 3 phases were complete, Desert Lily Bloom had a full suite of launch-ready visuals. The brand’s once-AI placeholders were replaced with rich, lived-in imagery. Serving as the anchor for her website, product listings, and social content. A visual foundation that could scale with her growth.

The final gallery delivered the beautiful desert-inspired images she to encapsulate the essence of her products. Each setup was shot with flexibility in mind, so the same scenes could be cropped or adapted across platforms without losing visual impact. Marcia described the process as a “huge relief,” knowing she could now focus on running her brand instead of wrestling with how to present it.

Creative reflection

This project stands out not only because it marked a brand’s debut, but because it reflects what’s possible when a founder finally feels seen. Marcia had done the hard work by building her products, refining her packaging, and defining her ethos. My role was to translate that into visuals that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

Our collaboration set the tone for every shoot that followed. This wasn’t just the beginning of her launch; it became the creative anchor for a brand that’s only just getting started.
